Education and Outreach

The RASC, Toronto Centre provides more than 100 education and outreach activities each year across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. These volunteer staffed events range from public viewing nights at Bayview Village to solar observing and special events at the Ontario Science Centre, in-city observing nights, dark sky observing, and Scout and Guide programs. We also offer NOVA, a six-week program that provides a comprehensive introduction to astronomy, along with First Light, a quick guide to sky gazing for new members.

If you would like to have our outreach team provide an astronomy presentation and/or an evening of stargazing at your school, Scout or Guide unit, library, community centre or other organization then you can request so on our Bring Astronomy to your Group page.
